I think the hardest part of any musicians life is Monday thru Thursday. What do you do?? Keep the stinky socks clean, get the van serviced, and catch up on writing some songs. Colorado was fun, got to see old friends and it was a super cool venue that says I can come back anytime!! Then Wyoming, Sundance to be exact. Home of the Sundance Kid. It was extra special for me as I got to perform for my hometown in a historic building and it was Mother’s Day weekend AND I had my natural birth mother in the audience!! She got to see where I grew up and meet some of the most important people in my musical journey. That’s done, whew!! Heavy stuff. The drive thru Wyoming was gusty 45-50 mph winds. I got the oil changed in my van and now I’m sitting here in a laundromat catching up on emails and tour blog stuff. Laundromats all smell the same and it’s not pleasant!! But hey, at least they have a Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean pinball machine!!

Tonite I got to perform for my hometown for the first time in years. Add on top of that I was the first person to play that stage since the 1940s. And I got to have my high school music teacher sit in with me!! I really have no words for how I’m feeling right now. So there will be more to come on my tour blog wrap up. ​TOUR BLOG Day 3,4,5
Chelan went great as always love playing that town. After my Saturdays gig I drove to Kellogg Idaho and spent a couple days with a friend hanging out at his cabin, driving around in his vintage 70s Corvette and shooting guns, you know, boy stuff. Then I made my way through Montana. I took my time, sleeping in the van at rest stops, talking to strangers at the gas station about my tattoos. Oh I love driving. There’s something about being in motion that is very calming to me.
At my second show in Chelan I was talking to the crowd and thanking them for their kind donations and letting them know that this is all I do for a living when a gentleman in the front corrected me saying “no, this is what you do for a living and you are damn good at it my friend.”
Wow, never really thought about it that way and I certainly don’t think I’m good at it. I’m more stubborn than talented anyway. But it was nice that he recognized that in me when I couldn’t myself. I’ve got a heavy schedule coming up so I’m treating myself really nice eating well trying to get lots of rest staying hydrated all of the stuff you have to do anyway on tour. ​Last night at County Line Chelan was fun as always. I did get a little to anxious going into town and got a speeding ticket (oops)
This afternoon I’ll be at Tsillan Cellars & Sorrento's Ristorante
From 2pm - 5pm this is a new venue for me so I’ll be on my best behavior.
Then as soon as I’m done I hit the road for some night driving into Montana headed to Colorado.

​It’s the day before I head out on my “Have Guitar Will Travel Tour 2022” and to say I’ve been anxious this week is an understatement. I’ve been sleeping in my van for the last couple weeks parked in my driveway. (Yes I know I’m weird)
The last time I did this tour route I had a full band, but this time I’ll be 100% solo. No “relief” drivers or anyone to talk to, just me and my van and my head full of things I need to sort out. So I guess it’s more of a soul journey than I thought.
I’m looking forward to the solitude, the camping, meeting new people and of course the shows.
I could NOT have done this without the help of everyone who donated to my GoFundMe and I am forever grateful as I didn’t think anyone would ever give two shits about me and my stupid songs. Yeah, I know it seems like a big old pipe dream to some, but I’ve managed to strum out a living with my six strings and my imagination. There is no greater feeling than when a complete stranger relates to one of my original songs.
I’ve been blessed beyond my expectations by my friends and their support. And as I get the van packed tonite I’ll be holding in my mind that this is not just my adventure, it’s your adventure too. So I’ll do my best to keep a tour blog and post pictures and video and maybe even a LIVE-STREAM from the road.
