First thing, I’d like to thank all the promoters, venues, festivals and events that ever booked me in the past.
Thank you to all the other bands who ever asked me to open the show and share the stage.
Most of all thank you to anyone who intentionally went to one of my shows and paid a cover charge or dropped even a dime in my bucket.
I’ve played in bands with some of the best musicians you could ever dream of, better than I deserved.
Thank you for sharing your talents to support my vision.
Now the hard part, recently I had a severe diverticulitis attack and blood infection that landed me in the hospital for 8 days. They ran tests and found a form of cancer that is not very treatable. Sure, they can do all the things to prolong life but there is no cure for this one. I’ve started chemo treatments and that will be leading up to a surgery eventually. My oncology team has presented me with options and we are making a plan for the coming weeks.
Currently, I do feel better as my energy is returning, I’m just getting mentally and physically prepared for what is to come.
I’ve never been very good at asking for help but if you can, here’s a link to my Go-Fund-Me HELP TOBY FIGHT CANCER
Now the good stuff,
I recently filmed a music video for my latest song, “Ghost Riders in The Sky” that I recorded for an Amazon Documentary called
“Butch Cassidy’s Forgotten Outlaw”
And I’ve been working on some collaborations with other songwriters that I love, as well as a couple new songs of my own.
So stay tuned as I still plan on recording and releasing music.
Here’s a link to a song I just released from my duo with Lyle Ronglien
“The Hangtown Marshals - Thicker Than Tears”
I do appreciate all your support through the years, I had a good run and I hope to get back to my usual 200 shows/year, but for now I have to get through this.
